If I map hi-launcher to my datebook button, is there any way to map different hard buttons to different applications after the menu is up? (Ie: If my trigger is the date button, I can make date, m go to google maps, but not date, phone or date, date).

You may use Menu item shortcuts to use hardkeys to launch different applications when the Menu is up. You can make these items invisible, so they will not show up in the Menu, but their shortcuts will work.
